Well unfortunately, my Christmas break the with VIP Lounge has come to an end. I had a fantastic break away. The Hotel staff were wonderful, the food was beautiful and all the VIP Lounge were absolutely brilliant.
For anyone who is considering and you’re a little doubtful as to whether you should go on a break away or not, well I would say, go for it.
This was my second break with the VIP Lounge and I enjoyed it so much. I have met so many new friends and all my old connections as well.
A massive big thank you to Ian, the welfare staff and the rest of the people behind it and as I say, please, please, please consider coming on one of these trips. You will find it was the best thing you could ever do.
I would like to thank everyone for another fantastic holiday. I have been on six now and I have really enjoyed all of them.
I would like to thank Ian Francis, Hazel Hyland, Sammy Clark and everyone else who has made me welcome on every holiday.
Well, what can I say about my Cardiff trip experience? Basically in a nutshell, I had a fantastic time and next time there is a holiday, I’ll definitely be coming. It was just amazing.
I love the way that we all helped each other and supported each other. there was someone with more sense of direction and were aware of where they were going because they had been there before and so they were able to help people who needed guiding, people who perhaps had never been. I think it was even more important for those people who have never been away from home before.
The trips were amazing that we did. The fire station and the History of Welsh Life Museum at Saint Fagons. They were both brilliant trips. I really enjoyed myself.
At the Hotel, all the staff were polite and friendly. The room was nice. Couldn’t fault it really. Absolutely excellent. An especially big thank you to all the people who helped to organise it.
I’d like to say, thank you very much Ian. It’s been a good holiday. I’ve enjoyed every single moment of it and I’ve made a lot of new friends. I’m hoping that those new friends will still keep in contact with me.
Thank you very much everybody. I hope to see you again in Weymouth.
This was my second holiday with the VIP Lounge. Another fantastic experience with memories and new friendships made from the moment I got to the Hotel. Myself and my very handsome Guide Dog Fido were made to feel at home.
There’s something about the VIP Lounge that I don’t feel anywhere else. It’s almost like a feeling I belong, fit in. Everyone is so friendly and welcomes you with open arms.
So when we arrive at the Hotel we get checked into our luxury bedroom and unpack for the days ahead. Fido loved our Hotel room and knows he’s on holiday too. He bounces around the room getting all excited, which tells me he’s also feeling really welcome and looking forward to meeting new doggy friends. We head down to the lobby to chill out after our travels and introduce ourselves. After everyone has arrived and settled, we start to get to know each other. At 6:30 PM we all make our way to the Hotel Restaurant, where we are served a fantastic three course meal. Talk about living in Luxury!
The evenings are kinda different each night, with either a quiz or Karaoke for entertainment. Or if you fancied just heading back to your room for a chill out that was also fine too. I can say that you’re never really bored as there’s always something to do.
I, hand on heart, really enjoyed it and am most definitely looking forward to the next one.
Thanks again to everyone who made me feel at home and thank you to the VIP Lounge, or should I say, the VIP Family. Until next time, take care of yourselves and each other.
I really really enjoyed my two days stay in Cardiff and meeting all my lovely lovely friends I made over the couple of years I’ve been coming on the holidays. I’d also like to say a great big thank you to mostly everyone really and Ian, Lianne, Hazel and quite a few of you who helped to put this Christmas break together. It’s been absolutely awesome.
I would also like to say that I wasn’t just looked after on the holiday, I became poorly on the way down to my holiday and landed up in hospital for a couple of days and my spirits were still kept alive, with people texting me, WhatsApping me and that meant the world to me. Everybody kept me alive when I was able to get the radio station working and that kept me going. Mark announced me on the radio and played a song. All that meant the world to me.
The VIP Lounge is really really good. When I was lonely before, it’s brought me out of my loneliness. It’s helped me in different ways, my independence and it’s got me out of my little shell.
I would like to say a great big thank you to everyone who was there, who helped me, who put this together and made the last two days a great two days for me. I really enjoyed it. Even if it had have been for the full four days, I would have still enjoyed it just the same.
I didn’t know I had so many friends, so many loving and caring friendships from all over the place. Not just around local areas, but Ireland, Wales, America, all over the world. I just want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart. I love all of you loads. You’re not just friends to me, you’re like a small family.
Thank you once again everyone, I really enjoyed it. Especially the Karaoke, that was good. The Christmas dinner was absolutely amazing. Thanks to Ian’s nephew who helped to cook it and Ian’s niece who helped me as well. I love you all.
For anybody who haven’t experienced the VIP Lounge, you ought to come and join and listen to the stations.
I am back down to earth with a bump having had a fabulous five days in Cardiff with the VIP Lounge. I am new to the VIP Lounge and didn’t know what to expect, but from the moment I arrived, I just knew that it was going to be a great five days.
I’d like to thank Ian, Hazel, everybody on the committee, everybody who worked so hard to make this time so special. I know that a lot of work went into organising a fabulous five days and it doesn’t happen by waving a magic wand, but it was so well organised and I would like to thank everyone involved.
I wouldn’t have known about the VIP Lounge, but for Andrea, Diane and Bernie. Thank you for encouraging me to go because I was so glad that I did. It was just so full of fun. There was relaxing time, there was fun time, we visited the Museum of Welsh History, we visited the fire station; I got to go in the fire engine, which was fabulous. Really really good! It was just such a wonderful time.
Do you know, no one is lonely in the Lounge. You never feel on your own. Everybody just takes you to their hearts. Everyone thinks ‘Oh VIP Lounge’. I tell you! There’s no lounging about because you’re up and about and you’re out and you’re doing things.
The VIP Lounge, they support everyone, they encourage everyone, encourage you to be the best you can be. So thank you to everybody for giving me lots of magical memories that I will treasure forever. It was lovely to meet everyone because we’ve all chatted for weeks, but it was so lovely to put a voice to all the people that I had been chatting to and made some lovely, lovely new friends, long lasting friendships and of course, was able to spend time with existing friends. So thank you, thank you to everybody involved. A very special time for me.
I would encourage anybody who hasn’t done it to certainly come into the lounge. It will change your life. The people you will meet, you will have firm friends. Thank you, Thank you everybody.
I’d like to thank everybody, not just the people who organised the holiday, but everybody who came along because each one of you added to the atmosphere and played your part in making it such a fantastic holiday for everybody. I really really enjoyed it and can’t wait to do it all over again. Bring on Weymouth next year! Thanks so much everybody.
Cardiff 2018 was my fourth trip away with the VIP Lounge and I’ve enjoyed every one of them. There’s always somebody new to meet and something different to try.
I like the choice of venues, which have been carefully selected with visually impaired people in mind and that each holiday has a variety of activities on offer. For example, this year I had a go at doing Karaoke, something I don’t think I would have tried at home.
Everybody is really friendly and supportive and even as a first timer you soon feel relaxed and part of the group. It would be difficult not to enjoy yourself and the only downside is that the time passes so quickly.
I want to say a huge thanks to Ian Francis, Lianne Mckeon, Hazel Hyland and all of those who help to organise the trips and make them a success. Also, thanks to everyone who comes along and helps to add to the atmosphere. I’m already planning my next trip with the VIP Lounge to Weymouth in June 2019.
Wow! What a fantastic week in Cardiff we’ve just had. Absolutely brilliant! This is my second time and I’ve loved it just as much and I’ll definitely be coming back next year and probably many years to come. Although probably the destination may change who knows in the future. Wherever it’s held, I know that Cardiff and meeting up with everybody else is an absolutely fantastic thing and I look forward to doing it again both in Weymouth and in Cardiff next year.
The Sandmartin, absolutely fantastic food, loved it. Would definitely go back there again. If I had anything negative to say, It would probably be that there was no Christmas music playing in the background. Apart from that, I absolutely loved it and I look forward to meeting up with everyone in Weymouth next year.
This year was the fourth holiday I’ve been away with the VIP Lounge Group. The other holidays I have attended have been Blackpool, Hastings and a Cardiff trip last year. Joining the VIP Lounge was the best thing I could have ever done. Mixing and meeting people with other sight impairments and variation of abilities and disabilities.
All the trips to date been very enjoyable and great friendships have been born with myself and all the other fantastic people I have had the opportunity of meeting on these holidays.
The VIP Lounge holidays give people an opportunity of mixing with others with other abilities and disabilities and sight impairments similar toe themselves. The holidays are always very organised with the opportunity of going on many trips if you wish too, where you are supported and taking part in activities of your choice and using the facilities of where you are staying, Hotel ETC.
I would like to recommend to anybody about joining the VIP Lounge. What a fantastic non-profit organisation, giving people positive support and encouraging people to do as much as they can for themselves, which enhances people’s lives and skills and develops individuals on a daily basis.
Everybody is so supportive of each other and respectful of each and every person’s needs, which is imperative. I would advise anybody to come along and join the VIP Lounge and find out what it’s all about and get involved and share this with your friends, as friends and family can also come along with you on holidays.
Seeing people mix on the holidays and people develop as individuals, growing in confidence and enjoying themselves, living life to the full. Making new friends from the VIP Lounge is so rewarding to see and that is what we are all about. Giving people the opportunities to be with others and develop as individuals.
Please spread the word of the VIP Lounge Group and everything we do. Get as many people to join as you can with this fantastic organisation. I thoroughly recommend them to anybody and cannot wait until the next holiday in the Summer next year in 2019.
Make sure you check out the website and share with your friends.
